Community Health and Development Programme (CHDP)

The CHDP covers a 48,000 slum population of mostly migrants who are situated near the check-post and quarries at Dahisar East and the slums in Dahisar West. It addresses components of health, education and economic improvement using a participatory approach. The health component of this project reaches out to a population of 75,000. This comprises mostly slum dwellers and few areas of the general population living in buildings and tenements.
