CCDT has been appointed as the nodal agency to implement the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in the slums of North Mumbai. This is a National programme for out of school children. The children enrolled include children working in hotels, rag picking, small-scale industries and others including children of migrants and daily wage earners. CCDT believes that education can open windows to a life of dignity and respect, where children can take their rightful place in society.
