Resource Center
The rapid advancement of meaningful and effective models for interventions in community health, HIV-related and children in difficult situations have propelled the need to upscale and consolidate the existing field based programs through demonstrations, research and best practices. The research and training activities initiated with the programs in the early nineties are receiving a boost through its’ consolidation with the establishment of the Resource Centre.

The Health Education, Action Research and Training (HEART) Centre is planned at Kune, 90 Kms from Mumbai. The Centre set high up in the hills overlooking a flowing river, commands significant view creating an illusion of infinity. It is proposed to develop the Centre for Capacity Enhancement and Research.

The Centre will provide residential training facilities with audiovisual support. Training programs will be organized for Governmental and Non Governmental Organizations in specific areas of interest, such as, Community Health, HIV related Home Based Care and Child Rights. The Centre will also cater to the in-house training needs of its professionals, care and health workers, teachers and support staff towards upscaling existing training, documentation and research activities in the organisation.

It will first look at enhancing and strengthening the projects of CCDT and developing new initiatives. To further our programs, research and documentation unit will identify and consolidate our successes and failures through review, documentation and research. The continued commitment to foster better linkages among researchers, communities most affected by HIV and AIDS, and organizations responsible for providing HIV prevention and health care services will receive greater importance.
